My First Blog |
| |
Wow! What a way to start my first blog. Just a few days after I watched my repeat National Champion Florida Gators dominate Ohio State to win their second national champioinship in a row, I learn that Coach Donovan will be staying at Florida and not going to Kentucky as had been widely rumored. Yeah! I totally understand his decision. I mean where would you rather work, in Kentucky or beautiful sunny Florida? It is so great to be a Gator fan these days, and it just seems to be getting better! I also want to thank all my friends at GatorCountry, who have been so supportive. I especially want to thank bluem3gator aka Roger from Orlando, who posted my lasted video on the site. I love all you guys. I feel like I have two families now. ByeBye |

Home for Easter. So glad to see my family. This is perfect timing, as all my friends and family are talking about the National Champion Gators most of the time. I just can't stop smiling. :D ByeBye |

Tough Year For Michael Waltrip |
| |
As if he hasn't had a bad enough year on the track, Michael Waltrip flipped his car and crashed into a telephone poll while driving home Saturday night. He then left the scene. He claimed he fell asleep at the wheel. He has been charged with reckelss driving and failing to report an accident. I generally don't like to report on athlete's private lives, but this is too sad. Luckily no one was hurt. Hoepfully I can write about happier news tomorrow. ByeBye |

Drew Bledsoe Retires |
| |
Probably not a front page story, but I have to say that I always liked Drew. I'm not so sure I would want him as my quarterback in a big game, but he always had class, and a cute smile. (Okay, I orignally liked him because he was hot, can you blame the girl?) He could have whined and complained about being benched for Brady back in 01, but instead he helped coach Brady the rest of the season and helped his team win a Super Bowl from the bench. I knew that he would retire after being benched for Romo last year, there was no way he would end his career as a back-up. So I will miss Drew and all his interceptions, and his cute butt, but mostly, the class he brought to the NFL. ByeBye |

Jackie Robinson - A True American Hero |
| |
Today is the 60th aniversary of Jacie Robinson's first game played in the major leagues. At first I couldn't believe that it took that long for baseball to have black players, but then I learned that baseball was full integrated before the US Army was! I couldn't believe it.
I learned a lot today, about how much hatred he encountered. Did you know that Dodger announcer at first didn't want to announce games that Jackie played in, he was so against it? The cool thing is that as he got to know Jackie, they became friends and he was one of his biggest supporters. I think that is totally awesome that Jackie could have that effect on people. He did have a great quote where he said the only thing important in life is the effect you have on others. I completely agree. ByeBye. |

Sports Bonanza! |
| |
This is a great time of the year. Baseball season is just heating up, and you have one of the greatest riverly in sports, if not the greatest, playing this weeekend when the Yankees meet the Red Sox. Not picking a dog in this one, Don't want either Monica or Michelle mad at me.
You also have the NBA playoffs starting, and I do have a dog in this one, a very big dog, the Heat with Shaq. I love Shaq, he is as sweet in person as he mean as is on the court. If he could just make a freakin' free throw?!!!
You also have the NFL Draft coming up soon, and the NHL playoffs going strong. I know I pick on Hockey-eh, but I like the Sabres this year. ByeBye |

Heat Have The Bulls Right Where They Want Them |
| |
Okay, maybe I'm a little bit optimistic, but I am confident that the Heat can come back and beat the Bulls after being down 2-0. In fact, I think that this is the best thing for Shaq and Co, since it will get them focused for the rest of the playoffs. I mean they have to win, doesn't every team from Florida win back to back Championships? |
